MATES began its journey in 2007 as Mate's Education, with a commitment to helping students make informed international education decisions. As its services, institutional network and student community expanded, the organisation evolved into MATES International Education and Visa Services.
With 19 years of experience, MATES supports students across the complete study-abroad journey — from profile assessment and destination selection to university applications, documentation, visa preparation and pre-departure guidance. How we work
Four principles that shape everything on this site
Sourced, or not stated
Every fee, funds threshold and work-hour limit on this site shows where it came from and when it was checked. Where a government site could not be verified, the figure is marked as pending rather than guessed. A plausible wrong number causes refusals.
The honest answer, including no
Sometimes the right advice is that your results do not yet support the course you want, or the budget will not stretch. Hearing that in a free session costs nothing. Hearing it after a refusal costs a great deal.
Country-specific, never copy-pasted
Six destinations, six genuinely different processes. The document that unlocks your visa, the money you must show and when — all of it changes. We research and write each one separately.
Straight answers, every time
We will tell you what a course realistically requires, what it will cost and how long it will take — including when the answer is not what you hoped. You will never be promised an admission or a visa outcome.
What we will never do
- Guarantee admission, a scholarship or a visa — those decisions are not ours to make.
- Ask for passports, bank statements or financial documents through a web form.
- Misrepresent anything on your behalf, or help conceal a previous refusal.
- Publish a fee, threshold or success figure we cannot source.
